Serious injuries in motorcycle accidents can be debilitating

When a Connecticut motorcycle rider is injured in a crash, the injuries are often more severe than those suffered by an individual in a larger vehicle. Those who survive motorcycle accidents might face physical and/or emotional challenges for the rest of their lives. Debilitating injuries can mean a lifetime of medical care and lifestyle adjustments.

Determining responsibility in some truck accidents is complex

Semi-truck drivers are required to go through extensive training before going onto public roadways. Yet, Connecticut residents can rent something like a U-Haul truck without any training other than a normal driver's license, which can lead to truck accidents. These larger vehicles require a different driving style than a passenger vehicle, which makes it easier to make serious or deadly mistakes.

Truck accidents are caused by a number of factors

Driving next to a tractor trailer on a Connecticut highway is enough to make many drivers nervous. This is because nearly any accident involving one of these behemoth vehicles is going to be more devastating and destructive. Furthermore, it is nearly impossible to predict when truck accidents are going to occur and what will cause them.

Some drivers attempt to avoid responsibility in car accidents

Most Connecticut drivers know that they are required to stop, render aid and report accidents. However, some drivers attempt to avoid responsibility for car accidents by fleeing the scene and/or lying to police about the circumstances surrounding the incident. In fact, police recently made an arrest concerning an accident that took place in 2013 because they now believe they can prove that the owner of the vehicle was lying when he claimed someone else was driving the vehicle.

U-turns can lead to motorcycle accidents

When attempting to make a U-turn at an intersection, Connecticut drivers need to be sure that they have enough time to complete the turn before oncoming traffic reaches them. Moreover, the driver making the U-turn needs to take an extra second or two to be sure that he or she is sure that the intersection is clear. Numerous motorcycle accidents occur because drivers making U-turns claim not to have seen the motorcycles.
